Yee-haw! More.
Imagine a Philadelphia (and a Baltimore!) with high-speed rail between New York and Washington, D.C.  It could completely revitalize the city—I picture wealthy, canny professionals from both cities buying up abandoned housing in Philadelphia (which is like on EVERY STREET, even in the downtown “hot spots”!) and renovating them into homes for other young professionals fresh from college.  So many kids come to Philly and take advantage of its amazing universities, then leave for DC and NY after graduation because, in comparison, Philly kind of sucks.  (Well, other people seem to think that; I disagree, obviously.)  With high-speed rail, Philly and Baltimore could become a haven for young, thrifty recent grads.
This has to happen!
